Maan Farms

Having started out in 1977, Maan Farms has become one of the best in the Fraser Valley for strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. They also have another road trip worthy activity- goat yoga. What’s better than yoga with goats? Picking some fresh berries right after.

Where: 790 McKenzie Road, Abbotsford

Taves Family Farms

What’s the point of Johnny Appleseed trailblazing apples across the US if we can’t beat him at his own game in Canada? And, this farm was started by a guy named John. Coincidence? We think not. Don your best tin pot hat and head here during the fall, then enjoy the best dang apple pie you’ve ever had.

Gojoy Berries

These fine folks have set up shop at Taves Family Farms, so that spot is a real double whammy. The picking season opens on July 18, so mark it down on your calendar. Goji berries are a real health nut food, and we’re health nuts, so we approve.

Krause Berry Farms

The real draw for Krause is that they also operate a winery (with a tasting room) at the same location. Craving a glass of wine to cool down after a couple of hours in the sun? These guys have got you covered. And! They’ve got golden raspberries!

Emma Lea Farms

u-pick

By far the oldest farm on this list, having been in operation since 1885. If you can survive for more than a century, you’re doing something right. They also raise their own cattle, so BBQ lovers will be able to pick up some great beef.

Where: 2727 Westham Island Road, Delta

Boy, we cannot wait to get out there and earn some berries to pair with ice cream on a hot day. Now that’s summer living. Mix in some fantastic beef and maybe some local wine, and you’ve got a winning combo. Enjoy all these U-pick farms near Vancouver, folks!
