Planning a date can be hard work and pretty expensive these days. So we thought we might as well give you some ideas on what’s fun to do around the city for cheap. Whether you’re looking to save money or just do something new, we’ve got you covered. Here are 10 awesome free or cheap dates in Vancouver.
Hey, this is always a crowd-pleaser and it’s beautiful and free. So work up a sweat with your date and walk or bike around this city’s best path. And you can stop for a bit to eat afterward.

Sure it’s simple but grabbing a cup of joe with someone is a great way to get to know each other. And while sitting down at a coffee shop isn’t really a thing at the moment you can always go for a walk and enjoy it on the go. We don’t know about you guys but we always love a trip to Granville Island. And right now is the prime time to hit up the market. So you can pick up some delicious ingredients to make dinner with your date or SO.

In case you didn’t know, every Tuesday night from 5-8 pm the VAG is by donation. So if you and your date want to see some art while saving some coin be sure to go on Tuesday evenings. We promise you won’t regret it.

Vancouver’s Chinatown has some of the best eats in town and what’s even better is that most of them are very affordable. And while everything is running on a mostly to-go format, it’s a perfect time. We recommend stopping by Phnom Penh and New Town Bakery to start.

Vanier Park is one of Vancouver’s best parks. And it just so happens to be the perfect place to have a picnic. After all, there are tons of open spaces and some pretty scenic spots that you and your date can enjoy. So simply grab your food and a blanket and head over to Vanier Park.

BC has some pretty spectacular bodies of water so you might as well impress your date and get out on the water. And who knows, it might just be a new experience for both of you. So why not give it a go?

Yes, you have to go over to the North Shore but trust us this view is worth it. And you and your date can bring some nice snacks while you wait for the sun to give you a show. We promise you’ll both love it.

You might as well spend a day in the sun while we still have our beautiful weather. So if that sounds like the perfect date to you then we recommend heading to Spanish Banks. You can lay in the sun, go for a dip, and even have a little picnic.
