Guide: Van restaurants with decor to die for

Looking for a great weekend spot but also needing to flex hard on the gram? We don’t blame you, that’s high on our priorities too. Vancouver has a lot of great spots that have some next-level aesthetic and architecture, but we’ve narrowed our list down to some of our favourites. Here’s our guide to some great bars and restaurants with the most picturesque interiors.

With pastels splashed across the space and elegant furniture placed purposefully throughout, it’s no wonder why Botanist has become one of the local favourites. Sit back and get comfy, we promise you’re going to want to stay a while.

Inspired by the vibes, tastes, colours, and culture of Old Havana, Cuba, this Commercial Drive staple is rocking its recent renovation very well. It might not take you all the way to the Island, but having a bite and some drinks in this space will certainly warm you up. Where: 1212 Commercial Drive

Honey Salt

You’ll feel a 70’s aesthetic with a modern twist when you stroll into Honey Salt. The farm-to-table approach of the menu gives the dining experience another level of comfort while taking in all the surrounding class of the space.

Osteria Savio Volpe

Described as industrial-chic, this restaurant/bar not only has some of the best Italian fare in the city, it looks fantastic too. Heck, you don’t even need to eat here to enjoy this place! Just sit down, snap some pics, it’ll be our little secret. Just kidding, eat all the food. You won’t regret it. Where: 615 Kingsway

Earls Ambleside

Taking inspiration from bohemian and mid-century vibes, this new Earls location is about as gorgeous as a chain restaurant can get. Plus, everyone feels great at Earls, so why not try out one of their best.

Reflections Bar – Hotel Georgia

We’ve talked about this one before, and you’ve probably been to this one before, but there’s a reason why it’s been one of the most popular rooftop destinations for the past few years: it’s insanely gorgeous. Everything from the lights to the plants to the furniture is so perfectly suited that by the end of the night they might have a hard time getting you to leave. Where: 801 W Georgia Street

Kissa Tanto

This chic little space has an atmosphere inspired by Tokyo Jazz cafes from the 1960s, and if that doesn’t sound cool to you, then we disagree on what cool is. The food is great, cocktails are next-level, and the decor is, well, just see for yourself.
Where: 263 E Pender Street
