The new bistro at the Vancouver Art Gallery is now open

Good news folks! You can go back to grabbing a beer before looking at art since the new 1931 Gallery Bistro at the Vancouver Art Gallery officially opened yesterday. We know we’re grateful for it, but here’s what they’re bringing to the table.

The revamped space above the art gallery’s lobby has long been one of the best places for a light lunch in downtown Vancouver. It’s nice to get a salad, and maybe a glass of wine, before hanging out on the patio during the warmer months.

But that’s not all since the new 1931 Gallery Bistro is offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a seasonal menu. They’ve also got a new cocktail menu that’s worth checking out. Here’s what we’re recommending you do:

Head down there earlier in the day on a Tuesday. Then, since you know you’re saving money already on admission, treat yourself to a light snack and a drink before the gallery opens for the evening. Boom, you’re now fed, happy and ready to look at some art.

And it’ll cost roughly the same as paying regular admission! Talk about a sweet deal.

Hours: Monday, 8AM-6PM, Tuesday to Friday, 8AM-9PM, Saturday, 10AM-9PM and Sunday, 10AM-6PM
