Dome ‘Dinner with a View’ finally announces dates for Vancouver
Well, it’s been a few months since the dome dinner experience ‘Dinner with a View’ teased coming to Vancouver. But, we’re happy to say that they’ve finally announced dates and a location. It’s looking like things are officially a go, folks.
For a full month starting mid-January, you can head down to Ambleside Beach to try out dining in what is essentially a big terrarium. The website claims that the interior of the domes will mimic the earth’s various ecosystems. So, diners can choose between tundra, tropical, grasslands, arid and boreal forest.
Ok, that’s pretty intriguing. As for the food, a ‘celebrity chef’ will prepare a blind 3-course menu for the evening. Got dietary restrictions? No problem, as meat, fish and vegan options will all be available. Nice, nobody has to go ‘just for the views’, then.
Dinner with a View touched down in both Toronto and Montreal this year, so we’re feeling like it’s high time that the west coast gets a taste. Personally, we’re pretty interested in a dome dinner in Vancouver. If only so we can dress up as Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome.
This dome dinner experience was most definitely the most talked about way to eat during 2019. Will that continue into 2020? Go try this out and let us know.
When: January 15 to February 16, 2020
Where: Ambleside Beach
Cost: $199.99 to reserve a dome
