A popular Vancouver BBQ spot is closing its doors next Sunday

Dang, it looks like we’re going to have to remove Dixie’s from our guide to the best Vancouver BBQ spots. That’s always a sad day, but not as sad as knowing that as of July 21 we won’t be able to eat there anymore.

But wait! There’s a silver lining. Instead of completely shutting down, Dixie’s will instead be continuing on as a ghost kitchen. That means they’ll be offering a commissary kitchen and delivery options. Looks like we won’t have to remove them, after all.

Thank goodness, we were ready to panic.

Dixie’s made a name for themselves in the city by dishing out high-quality Central Texas BBQ. The spot on Hastings makes incredible ribs and brisket and is a staple for BBQ in the city. If you haven’t had a chance to eat there yet, make sure you swing by before they shut their doors.

If you can’t, definitely support their new delivery only model. Keep that BBQ culture strong, Vancouver!
