This year, Nuba is sticking with a delicious sounding dessert for the big day. The Coconut Nuhallabiya uses panna cotta, strawberry compote, rose and vanilla to make an amazing sweet treat. We think you should also grab their tiramisu, and go halfsies.

Do you think cooking together is as romantic as eating together? You’re in luck because Belgard Kitchen is offering a sumptuous three-course meal (with optional wine pairings) and they can walk you through cooking it. Start with seared scallops, then enjoy a mushroom truffle risotto, and cap things off with some chocolate fondant cake. Not bad for a romantic night in.

Where: 55 Dunlevy Avenue
Cost: $95 and up (serves two), takeout and delivery available

Railtown Catering

The next option is a little easier but does still require reheating to, you know, get the juices flowing. This 5-course tasting menu includes some decadent dishes, like foie gras, lobster bisque, and beef short rib. Plus, they’ve got vegetarian substitutions available, and we’ve always trusted them there.

JUKE and BEETBOX

Juke Fried Chicken

Sometimes anti-romance options can be just as romantic. Flip the Valentine’s Day meal on its head and watch an action movie while tucking into a big ol’ bucket of chicken, or with Beetbox, some Chick-Un Finger ‘bouquets’. Personally, we think this could work out.

When: Available for pre-order, pick-up on February 14th
Where: Two locations
Cost: $29 for JUKE and $24 for Beetbox

B House

The first of two very reasonably priced options on this list. B House is offering a special three-course meal, with pate to start, a surf and turf for two as a main, and a chocolate molten brownie for dessert. Considering these guys just opened in the fall last year, this is a great way to check them out.

When: February 14th
Where: 2270 Commercial Drive
Cost: $49 per person, dine-in only

Fable Diner

Say Mercy!

And, we’re capping things off with some more luxurious picks. Say Mercy! picked two incredible cuisines to marry- BBQ and Italian. Start with a seafood-oriented charcuterie board. Then, enjoy their signature sirloin steak with some amazing sides. Finally, treat yourself to chocolate fondue with all the dipping options you’d want.

When: February 13th
Where: 4298 Fraser Street
Cost: $130 (serves two), takeout only

Ancora Waterfront

ancora

Both the Ambleside and the False Creek locations are offering amazing dinners, so this is a mix of convenience and luxury. The amazing Nikkei cuisine on feature here never disappoints. Pro-tip- for only $10 more, the West Van location adds 2 additional courses to the meal.

When: February 14th

Cost: $85-$95, dine-in only

Gotham Steakhouse

We don’t know why, but it’s hard to top a surf and turf meal on Valentine’s Day. So, we have to include this decadent option from Gotham. Plus, you get to cap the three-course meal off with a delicious Devil’s Food Cake. It’s a classic and for good reason.

When: February 9th to February 14th
Where: 615 Seymour Street

Botanist

valentine's day

Of course, we need to include one of Vancouver’s most romantic restaurants. Botanist is pulling out all the stops this year, featuring a six-course tasting menu that includes things like caviar, wagyu striploin, and red sea bream. Naturally, this is the priciest option on the list, too.

When: February 13th and February 14th

And that’s our roundup of some amazing treats and meals to enjoy during Valentine’s Day in Vancouver this year! We hope that you make the most of it, folks!
