Rental of the Week: The Vancouver version of the White House
Any time our Rental of the Week has a preferred name, you know we’re running with the big dogs. Stonehill Estate is a West Vancouver mansion that might as well be the White House of Canada. Situated in Gleneagles, the gated property features all the perks that come with life as a foreign dignitary.
Shall we take a look?
Home of the Week: Stonehill Estate
First, the exterior. Done in a neo-classic Federal style (yes, these are real words), the home exudes a stately presence no matter which way you’re looking at it. Of course, all work and no play makes for a dull life, so there’s a nice little cabana and a heated pool out back.
The main selling point of this stunning rental is the marble foyer. Not because it’s functional, but because anyone who enters the house through a full marble room knows that they’re playing for keeps!
Honestly, it kind of reminds us of the staircase at the Vancouver Art Gallery. This is major fancy energy in here. 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms make for plenty of space, and 10,000 square feet mean you could practically get lost in your own house.
And of course, there are all the amenities that come with renting an ‘estate’. A sauna, outdoor terraces, a wine room a private theatre, an elevator… you get the idea. All we need now is a putting green. Frankly, we’re surprised it’s not already been added. Hm, we’re sure the landscapers could throw something together.
A gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances comes as no surprise here, and the ocean views mean you can happily zone out while your personal chef makes your lunch. We’re just imagining that whoever rents a place like this has a personal chef.
What do we know, though? Actually, maybe mini golf would be more suitable. At least for us, cause we kinda suck at full-sized golf.
If you’ve got an extra $19.8k a month burning a hole in your pocket, you can check out the Stonehill Estate right here.
