Rental of the Week: Loft livin’ with a private rooftop AND a bowling alley
Even though we write about the Vancouver rental scene every week, we don’t think we will ever get used to the prices in the city. But that shouldn’t stop us from taking a peek around for you, dear reader. You know, just in case something we spotlight happens to be right up your alley.
Alley, get it? Because there’s a bowling alley in this building? Hehe.
Rental of the Week: 601 29 Smithe Mews
This sweet loft setup in Yaletown is perfect for the young professional. You’ve got a little cash, few life commitments, and want to enjoy the downtown lifestyle. Who says yuppie living has to have negative connotations, right?
The 3-level(!!) loft comes with an open concept floor plan. Expect the standard setup here- 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a ton of light and 2 balconies.
Plus, there’s an amazing rooftop deck that is completely private. Wonder no more about what it would be like to have your own rooftop deck. Invite the friends over for a BBQ or wine party and watch their faces as they realize how cool your setup is.
But that’s not even the main draw for us since we are aspiring pro bowlers. If we were to live here, we would spend 99% of our free time in the communal bowling alley working on our throw.
Funny, because bowling is the poor man’s golf, but rent here is $4450 a month. Vancouver, you continue to outdo yourself.
