You can try a $98 hot chocolate this weekend at Hot Chocolate Fest
Vancouver sure is an interesting place. There’s a lot of contrast here, especially when it comes to wealth. Sure, we see it in cars and homes, but we never thought hot chocolate would step into the ring. Welp, Mink Chocolates has done just that with the ‘The Legend Of Daryl Hannah’ hot chocolate.
This hot chocolate is made with a Cacao Barry 34% Zephyr white sipping chocolate and is served with organic, sustainable, Fraser River white sturgeon caviar and a “Mermaid’s Choice” chocolate bar. All of that will bring you to a total of $98. Hoo-wee!
If you’re thinking this price is outrageous, it’s actually not the most expensive hot chocolate that’s been created. In 2007, Serendipity 3 in New York created a $25,000 hot chocolate that consisted of frozen cocoa and milk and a casual 5 grams of 24k gold.
Serendipity 3 still holds the record for most expensive hot chocolate in the Guinness Book of World Records, so it looks like Mink Chocolates has some work to do. Roughly $25k worth of work, to be exact. But let’s get this straight- if you’re spending between $98-$25,000 on hot chocolate, you are living on another level, man.
So, who’s gonna take one for the team and order it? Are we gonna get an e-transfer request if we take a tiny sip? We’re just really, really curious.
