We cannot believe that it’s already been a full decade since the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. It’s crazy how time flies, are our gray hairs showing? But enough reflecting, let’s talk about what we can look forward to on February 22. That day, Jack Poole Plaza will be play host to a massive fan festival celebrating the anniversary.

And there’s a lot to celebrate, too. If your memory is a little foggy, here’s a reminder: First off, Canada set the record for the most gold medals won that year with a whopping 14. That number has since been tied by Germany and Norway, but not beaten (sweet!).

Plus, the 26 medals earned at the Olympics represented a new high for Canada’s athletes. Basically, Canada knew that they were on home turf, and they prepared accordingly. From the ‘Golden Goal’ to having the first athlete to have multiple medals in both summer and winter Olympics (Clara Hughes), Vancouver 2010 was truly a special time for the city.

So, go relive some of that magic on February 22! The Jack Poole Plaza will have Olympic athlete meet and greets, stage performances, sport demonstrations, and much more!
