For all those looking to get out of the city and make a day trip to Port Moody this weekend, we’ve got good and bad news for you. The bad news is that parking is going to be a mess. But, the good news is that Port Moody is hosting their third annual Car Free Day! Nice!

Here’s what you can expect this year.

First off, the road being closed is St. Johns Street, between Douglas and Murray. In that area, more than 130 booths will be set up for visitors. You’ll see a range of local businesses, non-profits, and community groups.

There will also be food trucks and live music during the Port Moody Car Free Day. Just in case you were getting worried, there will also be a beer garden available for some adult beverages.

Of course, there’s a ton of family-friendly activities to partake in too. We’re talking about a bicycle skills zone, a ninja obstacle course, a mini train to ride and more. Basically, it’s going to be a blast for the whole family.
