Aurora Winter Festival just announced a HUGE expansion
Vancouver’s annual Aurora Winter Festival has announced that they will be swapping venues this year, going from Concord Pacific to the PNE. This comes as part of a major expansion that promises that the festival will be 4 times larger than in previous years. Now that’s a serious step up, yeesh.
Running from November 22 to January 5, the festival is set to be the largest of its kind in Western Canada. Expect live entertainment, tons of activities (like ice skating) and much more.
Personally, we’re pretty jacked up about the giant, winter-themed sculptures that will be there. Plus, they’re creating a light display that is supposed to mimic the Aurora Borealis. It’s going to be the perfect accompaniment to a cup of hot chocolate.
There will also be a tube park, and 7 winter-themed amusement rides throughout the venue. Basically, it is a real winter wonderland for you to explore. So while we’re sad about summer ending, we gotta say we’re definitely looking forward to this fest.
When: November 22, 2019 to January 5, 2020
