A rescue dog fashion show is coming to Vancouver

Just when you thought that the Vancouver Home Show couldn’t get better, they had to go ahead and announce a rescue dog fashion show this year. Called ‘DOGUE’ (ha!), the show will be in support of a local rescue society and will feature pieces from barking babies.

The organization in question is Thank Dog I Am Out. These good folks focus on the ‘rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming adoptable dogs that are at risk of being euthanized, surrendered, abused, or neglected’. Basically, they’re making sure that every doggo is treated like the good boy (or girl) that they are. Now that’s something we can get behind.

We’ve never been the type to dress up our pets, but the show might change our minds. The classic ‘Pupreme’ hoodie is overplayed. However, maybe there’s a ‘Helmut Fang’ windbreaker or something that’s irresistible. One thing’s for sure, we’ll find out what’s up on Saturday, October 26.

So, we’ll head down early and pick out new counters for our dream home. Then, we’ll watch a rescue dog fashion show. Sounds like the perfect way to spend a day.

Vancouver Fall Home Show

When: October 24 to October 27
Where: Vancouver Convention Centre West
Cost: $16
