A local Lebanese restaurant is raising money for Lebanon with a BOGO deal

So, earlier this week an explosion rocked the city of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. This tragedy was the most recent, and poignant, disaster in a country that had already been facing extreme hardship. After tragedies of this nature occur, people often wonder how to help those affected.

Well, one way to do that is by drinking beer at Nuba, arguably the best Lebanese restaurant in the city. And this weekend, they’re offering a special on their house special turmeric ale, with all the proceeds going to the Lebanese Red Cross. Buy a pint, get a pint, and help save lives in the process.

Why the Lebanese Red Cross? Well, out of the many options to help the country the Red Cross does provide the most direct assistance without government interference. We doubt you read Curiocity for hot takes on global geopolitics, so we’re going to leave the more advanced explanations to the CBC.

Of course, if you wanted to skip the middleman and donate directly to the Lebanese Red Cross then that’s perfect too. Any way that people can help is still helping. We can’t help but think of a cool beer on a warm summer’s day though, so this is too good of an offer to pass up.
