Here are 6 things to do on Family Day in Vancouver.

Family Affair

If you’re looking to turn up on the long weekend, you should check out Family Affair, a long weekend tradition hosted by the Get Lit Fam. You’ll be hearing tunes from DJ Keke, Lemon, Tico, Clu & Manesé. Hey, you don’t have to worry about being tired at work on Monday because you won’t be going in!

SJS Family Day Reunion w/ Special Guest

We’ve been told that SJS stands for Slow Jam Sunday, and we can get behind that. Y’know, sometimes we all need to turn it down a notch. With guaranteed great sound at the Commodore Ballroom, you really can’t go wrong. Plus, there’s a secret special guest…

Museum of Vancouver

Police Museum

Here’s another Vancouver museum that doesn’t get enough appreciation! If you’re interested in the history of Vancouver and the criminals who once ran the city, you should stop by the Police Museum. Admission will be free all day on February 17th and you can enjoy a nice walk in the neighborhood afterward.

When: Saturday, February 15
Where: Vancouver Police Museum & Archives, 240 E. Cordova Street
Cost: Free

Vancouver Maritime Museum

We do live by a lot of water, so it makes sense that we have a Maritime Museum. And, if you weren’t aware, we actually have quite a rich Maritime history. You may think we’re kind of crazy for suggesting you check this place out, but don’t sleep on the Maritime Museum. So many cool facts to learn! Plus, admission is free on February 17th.

When: Monday, February 17th
Where: Vancouver Maritime Museum, 1905 Ogden Ave
Cost: Free

Robson Square Skating Rink

The weather might be looking up, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to put the skates away. In fact, the Robson Square Skating Rink is actually open until February 29th. Family Day is the perfect time to relax and skate around the rink for a bit!

When: Through February 29th
Where: 800 Robson St
Cost: Free, $5 for skate rental

It’s clear that Family Day in Vancouver is a great chance to see tons of the city’s museums for free. Relax, enjoy the day, and spend time with those you love. We know you’ll make the most of the day. Have a great Family Day!
