Alright, the time has come to talk about the importance of seeing The Nutcracker in Vancouver this December. Is there a better way to spend your day than watching Clara navigate the kingdom of sweets? The Nutcracker is a pastime that has remained relevant despite iPhones and identity politics. For one night we recommend putting those aside and checking it out to ground yourself. It’s a weird suggestion but trust us here.

For three days only next month, you can view the Goh Ballet Nutcracker which has been described as enchanting, captivating and simply magical. How often do you have an evening that lives up to that description? Probably not very often.

The whole ballet is just about 2 hours long and is way more impressive and technical than any movie you can go see at a Cineplex. Plus you get to hang out in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, and sometimes it’s good to get out of the house. You might as well directly support the artists instead of paying the box office.

Now because this event only happens for a few days we’re going to suggest that you act quickly on tickets. The Goh Ballet Nutcracker is truly a Vancouver favourite and tickets will sell out before you know it. If you go to the show and decide that your chosen life path is in becoming a professional dancer then feel free to head over to the Goh Ballet website to learn more about the academy.

Happy Holidays!
