This magical light festival in Whistler opens for the season today!
After a successful summer season, Vallea Lumina in Whistler decided to keep operations going through the winter for the first time ever, and it opens to the public today! The magical wonderland is your opportunity to see some crazy light displays in the forest. Huh, we thought that we would need to go to Shambhala for that.
Hidden amongst the trees somewhere just outside the village, it offers a guided tour through a winding path as you try to find two ‘hikers from long ago’. Along the way, you’ll be treated to an incredible multimedia experience.
If you’re a fan of Canyon Lights, then chances are high that this experience is right up your alley! We have to admit, wandering through a bunch of lit-up trees at night does sound like something we could get down with. Plus, the winter version will feature an easier path than in summer, so you don’t have to worry too much about slipping on some snow.
So, it’s definitely something to keep in mind when you’re planning your next weekend getaway in Whistler. Give it a shot!
