The 2020 lineup for the Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival is out!

You might think that we exclusively listen to Atlanta rap and Chicago house here at Curiocity, and you’d almost be right. But then, the lineup for Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival gets released, and boom, we’re in an Americana vortex for the next four hours. Nothing like mixing Young Thug and Colter Wall.

The festival has long been a one-day event, but this year it’s expanding! For the first time ever, there will be musical acts both Friday and Saturday- giving you more reason than ever to check it out.

As for the lineup, it’s a mix of recognizable and more obscure names (at least to us). Brandi Carlile and Colter Wall we know and like, but Steve Earle and the Dukes? Never heard of ’em. We have no one to blame but ourselves though- that’s what we get for listening to the same 4 albums on loop per year.

We actually gave the singer/songwriter Tonye Aganaba a listen while checking out the list, and we really like her sound. So, if you’re buying tickets, make sure you show her your support.
