With spooky season comes a whole host of terrifyingly good horror movies and shows. And one of the newest just so happens to have been filmed right here in Vancouver! We’re talking about highly-anticipated The Haunting of Bly Manor which is the follow-up (but not sequel) to the incredibly popular The Haunting of Hill House.

Here is the synopsis of theThe Haunting of Bly Manor so you know what to be excited for: “The story tells of a young governess hired by a man to look after his niece and nephew at the family country house after they fall into his care. Arriving at the Bly estate, she begins to see apparitions that proceed to haunt the premises.

So, where exactly did they shoot this series? Well, if you were wondering which abandoned Kerrisdale mansion was a part of the set, we have some bad news…It was actually filmed at Bridge Studios. So the actual manor unfortunately doesn’t exist. Although, all those abandoned mansions in Vancouver that could have done the job definitely do exist.

That being said, we will be curious to see the home that is used for exterior shots. Although for the time being, that information is still pretty much top secret. And we’ll leave it up to your sleuthing abilities to figure it out once you inevitably binge-watch the series this weekend. Regardless of what you find, at least we know that Hollywood North was in fact the spot for this new series’ creation.
