Jason Momoa’s new Apple TV show was shot on Vancouver Island
With the release of Jason Momoa’s newest series, ‘See’, fans have noticed a ton of Vancouver Island scenery. The Apple TV mini-series takes place in a dystopian future where humans have lost the ability to see. It comes from the producer behind the Planet of the Apes trilogy.
It’s giving off a little bit of a Children of Men vibe, but with some classic tribal warfare mixed in for good measure. Personally, we think it looks pretty good, and should be a strong start for Apple’s new streaming service. Check out the trailer below.
According to CTV, the new series might prove beneficial for local businesses. Much like Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings attracts fans to new areas, See could do the same for the northern part of Vancouver Island.
Some filming locations include Strathcona Park, with Myra Falls and Buttle Lake appearing in the trailer. Fans have also reported seeing Momoa in the Campbell River and Whistler areas, so those will probably be involved.
You can check out Jason Momoa’s newest series ‘See’ when it’s released on Apple TV+ Canada on November 1.
