University of British Columbia has tons of free courses you can take this winter

Affording post-secondary education in Canada is no easy feat. However, thanks to the University of British Columbia and edX, there are a ton of free courses you can take to explore new topics, refine your skills, and meet new people in the process. Specifically, 6 programs and 65 classes! And a lot of them are self-paced, so you can work through them at your own speed – or dive right into the subject you’re passionate about.

From business communications to game writing, here are just some of the free courses you can take this winter:

So, no matter where your interests lie – it looks like UBC x edX has a little bit of everything. Whether you want to dive into a completely new subject or deeper into one you’ve encountered before, the world is your oyster.

While a lot of learning does take place outside of the classroom, it’s inside the classroom where you’re given the full opportunity to try new things, fail, and try again. And with tuition costs being what they are nowadays, you can bet that we’ll be taking advantage of some of these courses – and we hope you do too!
