Here’s where you can hang out with adorable Highland cows near Toronto

Did someone say Highland cows? Look, I don’t know what it is about those fluffy guys, but they’ve taken over my social media feeds, and I’m happy about it. Yep, everyone loves a Highland cow, and to my surprise, I found out there are places in Ontario where you can hang out with them.

Udderly Ridiculous Farm Life is a third-generation farm in Bright, just 30 minutes outside of Kitchener-Waterloo. The farm prides itself on providing one-of-a-kind experiences with animals like alpacas, goats, donkeys, and of course, Highland cows.

Today, we are focusing on the Highland cows. There are two types of experiences you can book with them at the farm: the private mini Highland cow experience or the regular Highland cow experience.

“Get up close with your own private meet-and-greet with our fluffy family of micro and mini Highland cows—Muriel, Rhett, Beatrice, Anthony, Oreo, Cookie, and their full-sized Highland friends – Clara, Fiona, Ellie, and Toffee,” shares the farm. This option is for private groups of four, lasting 45 minutes and costing $250. Two extra people can be added for an additional cost.

The regular experience is also 45 minutes, but with larger groups, costing $60 per person.

If you’re interested in Udderly Ridiculous’s other animal experiences, a few that are available include:

  • Donkey snuggles
  • Alpaca experience and fibre nesting ball workshop
  • Alpaca sunset
  • Goat recess
  • Alpaca walk and bond
  • Goat yoga

During winter, the farm’s hours are by appointment only from Monday to Friday, or 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Can you think of a better way to beat the winter blues than cuddling up to a Highland cow? Exactly. Get your group together and book that appointment, Ontario.
