4 u-pick flower fields to visit in BC this summer

If you love summer colours and jump at every chance you get to appreciate the season’s blooms, this is for you. There are a handful of local farms in and around Metro Vancouver with u-pick flower fields to visit this time of year, and the colours are absolutely dazzling!

So with that in mind, here are 4 u-pick flower fields to visit in BC this summer.

Greendale Acres 

Chilliwack’s Greendale Acres has many family-friendly summer attractions to check out, but its u-pick summer florals are worth a trip in and of themselves. For $10, visitors can pick up to 20 stems.

Oh, and don’t forget to check out the farm’s popular Corn Festival and Maze this August!

Meadows Family Farm 

For $15, you can get a cup of water at Meadows Family Farm in Maple Ridge and roam the farm’s u-pick flower field to fill it with as many blooms as you’d like.

When: July and August

Cost: $15 per cup of flowers

Sparrow Grass Field & Flower

Opening day at Sparrow Grass Field & Flowers is coming up on Thursday, July 25th, with u-pick flowers available for those wanting to create their dream bouquets. So don’t forget to bring a vase!

Once you’re done frolicking in the beautiful flower fields, you can enjoy a refreshing house-made lemonade.

Five Acres Flower Farm

At Abbotsford’s Five Acres Flower Farm, there are two-hour summer flower-arranging workshops available for guests who want to wander the fields and create their own bouquets. Learn about the flowers the farm grows, how to best arrange them, and brighten up your living space by taking your creations home!

When: Dates in July and August
Where: Abbotsford
Cost: $89 per person for a workshop
