Canada is an amazing place with some incredible things to do and see from coast to coast, however, few destinations are as ‘cool’ as Twillingate.

Located on the east coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, this charming community is widely considered the iceberg capital of the world and should be added to everyone’s vacation hit list – especially that belonging to an adventure seeker.

Here, not only are you in prime territory for seeing giant 12,000-year-old icebergs but there’s also a pretty good chance that you’ll get to see majestic humpback whales and seabirds from the shore.

Of course, mammals and ice aren’t the only things worth experiencing while there!

In Twillingate, you can also go fishing, kayaking or hiking as long as the weather cooperates and can wander around the town itself.

Those who enjoy seafood should indulge in fresh eats and are able to check out a ton of unique shopping and rich local entertainment.

Not only is it a tad warmer, but icebergs are near and dear and there are a couple of events (including the longest-running folk festival in the province) that take place during this time.
