Get ready for a night of romance, nostalgia, and comedy all rolled into one – because for one night only, Vancouver is getting Twilight in Concert – a candlelit film-to-concert experience that will have you on the edge of your seats. Whether you want to relive the magic of 2008 or drag someone to see the iconic film for the first time, we’re here to tell you to “hold on tight, spider monkeys!”
The memorable romance saga featuring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner will be back on the big screen at the Orpheum this March, accompanied by a live band onstage and over a thousand twinkling candles.
Put on by GEA Live and GFN Productions, the experience marks 15 years after the movie’s original release, which makes us feel pretty darn old. But we’ll take any excuse to break out our list of favourite Twilight movie quotes.
The live cinematic event will feature music by the FILMharmonique Orchestra made up of world-class Canadian musicians, who have been featured in film-concerts such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, Titanic, Fantasia, The Godfather, and many others.
The 12-piece ensemble will perform Twilight’s iconic score alongside vocalist Sam Champagne in perfect synchronization with the full-length film, bringing a new life to what is sure to be a cult classic one day.
Ready to step back into the enchanting (albeit sometimes disturbing) world of Twilight? Tickets to the candlelit experience go on sale at 10 am on Thursday, September 26th online. So if you’re a big fan of the franchise or could use a good dose of 2008 nostalgia, you’ll want to snag your tickets ASAP!
