This holiday festival has a 60-foot Christmas tree & it’s free to attend

Well, it’s official. We’ve officially transitioned from PSL’s and pumpkins to peppermint mochas and Love Actually memes. What does that mean exactly? The holiday season is officially on the horizon! And what better place to celebrate than Surrey’s annual Tree Lighting Festival?

This beloved event is back for not one, but two days of festivities this year! Guests can get a headstart on holiday shopping at the holiday market, grab a bite to eat at a local food truck, and ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ at the impressive festive light installations. We know we’ll be!

But most importantly, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the main event – when the Mayor “flicks the switch’ on the 60-foot Christmas tree on November 25th. Believe us, this part will be hard to miss.

The Tree Lighting Festival takes place over a whole weekend this year! So grab your friends, your favourite holiday beverage and head to the Surrey Civic Plaza on November 25th and 26th.
