If you love books and are looking to add to your collection before the start of cozy season, we have good news for you! The annual Treasures Used Book Sale at the Toronto Reference Library takes place this month, with many items priced at $1.
Wondering what this is all about? Here’s what to know!
The Treasures Sale is the Toronto Public Library’s largest book sale, and it is staffed by Friends of the Library.
Known to have “the best value for buying books in the city,” this is not just a sale, but it also helps support library programs and services. So it’s for a great cause. It has donated items and materials from the library’s collection, all waiting for a new home.
At this year’s Treasures sale, you will find great deals on thousands of first editions, rare and collectible books. Those will start at $2.
As for everything else, materials will start at $0.50 and go up to $5. That said, most materials will be priced at $1, according to the Toronto Public Library.
There will be a $3 admission fee on the opening day, Thursday, September 19th.
This is a popular sale, so bring your patience as lineups are expected!
Debit and credit are accepted for all purchases, except for the $3 admission fee on Thursday.
Another thing to bring? Your own bag.
It all kicks off on September 19th, and will run until the 21st.
Get excited for those new fall reads!
