Vancouver’s summer cycling race will have a FREE family festival with live music

Attention, cycling enthusiasts! You don’t have to be an expert biker to enjoy this exciting summer event. So grab your bikes and helmets, and get ready to enjoy a free festival with activities for the whole family to enjoy – the Tour de Concord is back!

On Thursday, May 9th, Concord Pacific announced that the fourth annual Tour de Concord cycling race and accompanying Free Family Bike Fest will take place this July at Concord Pacific Place.

From 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday, July 7th, visitors can watch the suspense and excitement of amateur and pro races up close.

Those who choose to register can participate in one of the following races:

  • Amateur races
  • Kids 6 to 12 years old track lap
  • Concord Charity Race
  • Men’s and Women’s Pro Races ($50)

Participants will cycle on an upgraded 900-metre course, including some of the fastest, elite racers from across the globe.

There will also be a Charity Race to honour the opening of the new St. Paul’s Hospital on the Jim Pattison Medical Campus, which brings state-of-the-art care to patients across Vancouver and BC.

“This isn’t just a cycling race,” says Mayor Ken Sim, “it’s a fun way to bring our city together and support the new St. Paul’s campus. With thousands expected to join in, and tons of free activities for kids and families, this event really shows off the energy and spirit of our community!”
