8 things to do at home and around Toronto this week (June 29 – July 3)
We’ve got a big week ahead, people! We’re moving into July, so we’re well into summer. Plus, we’ve got Canada Day celebrations. There’s so much excitement we don’t know where to start. Good thing there’s a ton to do this week in Toronto. So let’s just jump right into it!
Here are 8 things to do at home and around Toronto this week.
There’s no season like patio season. And now that restaurants and bars are finally allowed to reopen outdoor seating, you know we’ll be spending every evening this week sipping cocktails outside. So which patio should we hit up first? Well, this list has 15 of our favourites. So we’re thinking we’ll start there.
The 401/Highway of Heroes got some new trees planted this week in honour of Canada Day and our veterans. So if you’re looking for something to do one evening, why not take a little drive and check ’em out. They’ll still be tiny little seedlings, but it could be nice to imagine what they’ll grow into.
Speaking of Canada Day, a fun way to celebrate our wonderful country could be reading about all the super Canadian acts of kindness we’ve seen this year. Good thing we’ve already put a list together for you. So read this for a little Canadian feel good content.
And, of course, we’ve got to mention Toronto’s official Canada Day livestream. There will be entertainment and actives all day long. So make sure you log in for some fun for the whole family.
Wanna go even broader than Toronto? Cause Canada also has plans for a virtual Canada Day celebration. You can log on for entertainment from across the country. Seriously, it’s gonna be a day full of fun.
It’s finally July! Which means Toronto’s Interactive Van Gogh Exhibit is officially open! You can head here this week to be immersed in some of the artists best work. Tickets have been available online for awhile. So make sure you log in and pick up yours.
They’ve just given their brand new baby giraffe a name AND they officially reopened over the weekend. Could there be a better time to visit? So head to the Toronto Zoo this weekend and see all they’ve got to offer.
A ton of restos are still offering delicious delivery. And this week is the perfect time to chow down on some of your faves. So order some scrumptious eats and enjoy them from the comfort of your very own home.
Have a great week, folks! And happy Canada Day!
