Toronto’s latest makeover piece is a seriously adorable downtown park. Located at the base of York St at Queens Quay W, the spot affectionately named “Love Park” is about to begin construction. The space used to be home to a Gardiner off-ramp, but soon it’ll serve a whole new purpose.
So the plans for Toronto’s Love Park look pretty darn awesome. Once the project is complete, it’ll be home to amazing paths and walkways, loads of greenery, and, of course, a massive heart-shaped pond. That explains the adorable name!

The minds behind the makeover are the folks over at Claude Cormier + Associates. This landscape architecture and urban design firm is also responsible for amazing spots like West Donlands in Toronto, King Portland Centre, Leslie Slip Lookout Park, and more. It’s safe to say we’re in good hands.
This new project will be 2 acres in size and full of vegetation. If all goes according to plan, it should be set to open to the public in 2022.
