We’ve got some sad news, Toronto. Yet another restaurant has bit the dust due to the ongoing coronavirus (aka COVID-19) crisis. And this time, it’s Live Organic Food Bar. The official announcement came in an Instagram post this week and our hearts are just broken over it.

For those of you who don’t know, Live Organic Food Bar has been a staple in the Toronto health food scene since they opened their doors in 2001. They’re home to a ton of incredible organically sourced products, all of which are made from scratch. And they’ll certainly be missed.

Like most businesses, Live Organic had to initially close its doors temporarily because of the virus. But what was supposed to be only a few weeks turned into a few months. And sadly, the business just couldn’t stay afloat.

“It has been our honour to serve you for over 19 years,” they wrote in their statement. “We wish you all well and we will miss you.” We’ll miss you too, Live Organic!

Thankfully, they’ll still be offering their plant-based food at local grocery stores and health food stores. But it just won’t be the same as stopping by their restaurant.

Sigh, au revoir to this delicious Toronto spot.
