The Humber Bay Butterfly Habitat is located in the heart of Humber Bay Park. The west-end spot is bursting with life, and if you ask us, it’s the place to hit during the spring and summertime.

So the spot currently functions as an ecological restoration project for the City of Toronto. What does that mean? We’re glad you asked. The place is intentionally full of a diverse range of wildflowers, shrubs, trees, grasses, and other botanical wonders known to support the butterfly lifespan.
As for the actual butterflies? This area is known to be home to a variety of species. The most common sighting is the monarch butterfly, but you’ll also find a few others fluttering around the park.
According to the Humber Bay Butterfly Habitat, the peak season for spotting is between April and October. You’ll have the best luck on days with mild temperatures and minimal wind or rain.
