The TTC will be FREE all night long on New Year’s Eve

Via Rei Lavrador

A night of partying should end with you tucked into a blanket burrito, preferably with a real burrito and a Gatorade. Corby is making sure your New Year’s Eve ends in the best, safest way possible! The TTC will be free all night long on NYE. Now, all we need is the burrito.

Wait, who’s Corby? The DD for the night? Someone’s cousin who doesn’t drink and offered to pick everyone up? Nah, it’s Corby Spirit and Wine Limited. They’re sponsoring the whole evening, so feel free to send them a thank you note or a Christmas card or a burrito or something. Sorry, burritos on the brain.

This is actually the seventh year Corby has helped make the TTC free to keep New Year’s partiers safe. Starting at 7 PM on December 31st, all buses, streetcars, and trains will be free. This will last until 7 AM on January 1st.

As Patrick O’Driscoll, President and CEO of Corby puts it, “New Year’s Eve is one of the most celebrated nights of the year and we want to do our part in helping people get home safe.”

“For the last 7 years we’ve provided over 1.2 million rides to Torontonians, keeping our streets safe on one of the biggest party nights on the calendar, and we could not be more proud of this partnership and its results keeping people from driving when they have been drinking.”

Have a great New Year’s and get home safe, Toronto!
