Down for a lake getaway? Is that even a question? Prince Edward County is getting a brand-new, stunning lakeside retreat next summer called Wander the Resort. Don’t mind us, we’re just making some advance vacation plans to get us through the winter.
Nestled between Bloomfield and Wellington, Wander the Resort is getting ready to welcome its first season of guests. The retreat is contemporary and cute, with an emphasis on natural materials. Wander will be outfitted with simple luxuries and everything you need to forget the city exists for a while.

Guests will enjoy views of the lake through entire walls of windows, large private decks with outdoor fireplaces, or from one of the hammocks on the soft sandy beach. Each cabin will be full of natural light, with a bit of a nordic spin on the design. In fact, Wander plans to debut a nordic spa in late 2020. Cat’s out of the bag!
Although opening day is far in the future, Wander has been busy in the community. In partnership with local businesses, Wander The Resort hosted a yard sale of pre-renovation furniture and accessories. All said and done, they raised $3500 for local women’s shelter Vi’s House!
Alright, fine. You’ve convinced us we definitely need to check this place out. Summer, we’ve got eyes on you!
