Premier Doug Ford spotted picking up 90,000 masks for hospitals
Yesterday, Premier Doug Ford made an unannounced trip to Markham, Ontario to pick up more than 90,000 medical face masks. The surprise visit came after the company, Dental Brands, offered to donate them to Ontario’s medical community.
According to the tweet, Ford chose not to tell his staff about the trip. Instead, he literally trucked out there alone to go and pick them up and offer his thanks.
See that guy? That’s Doug Ford, Premier. Dental Brands, a company in Markham, texted him to say they were donating 90,000 masks to hospitals in Ontario. Ford drove to their warehouse and loaded the masks onto his truck. Didn’t tell his staff. #onpoli @fordnation pic.twitter.com/yygtZNXVHf

While premiers across the country try to react to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s important to remember that the issue faces the country as a whole. So, any deed done in the name of public health and safety is a good one in our books.
