Looks like the Toronto skyline could be getting a brand new addition. A massive skyscraper has just been proposed for Yonge and Gerrard and it’s plan is to be 255 metres high, with 74 stories. Whew, that’s pretty darn tall, you guys! The building is being designed by architectural firm DIALOG. And it’ll definitely be a one-of-a-kind space.

The huge development is being proposed in a collaboration of three companies, Yonge & Gerrard Partners Inc., Turbo-Mac Ltd., and Trimed Investments Inc. The makeup of the property will boast 406 new condo units, 654 square metres of retail space, and 2,337 square metres of office space. They’ve got it all, people.

But what makes it extra special is the space that’s serving as its base. The condo will be built by incorporating heritage buildings of the area into its base. The heritage building area would remain commercial real estate. And rumour has it that the third floor will become home to super cool perks like a museum, gallery, and private event space. Ohh la la.

There’s no word out yet on the timeline of this skyscraper. But we think it’ll be a super cool addition to the city’s already-magnificent real estate market. And who knows, maybe once it’s up you’ll find yourself looking to it as the place to become your next home.

Stay healthy, folks!
