Ah, what a great city to be hungry in. We’ve got the scoop on 8 of the best new restaurants Toronto has to offer. Your dinner plans are made, you’re welcome! And your brunch plans, and lunch plans, and snack plans…

You got the deets on Arthur’s from us a little while ago, but this swanky refined American spot is about to become the go-to for cocktails and brunch. Their soft opening’s already got the city buzzing, so get in while it’s still new!

Where: 12 St. Clair Ave E

You’re gazing out at the waterfront wishing it was an ocean… It’s okay, this seafood-forward spot is reopened and ready to hit that spot. Stop by for casual fish sandwiches, burritos, tacos, and avocado salads. If you squint hard enough you can almost imagine you’re in Nova Scotia.

Where: 657 College St

roselle desserts

This gorgeous dessert spot is the reason we will never lose our baby fat. They’re opening another location in the west end this spring, making eating 10 eclairs a day just way too easy. As far as new restaurants in Toronto goes, this one might be the sweetest.

Where: New address coming soon, for now, check them out at 362 King St E

Don’t Google translate the name of this spot with your grandma around, trust us. You can bring her by for Mexican street food, and tell her it means something nice if she asks.

Where: 1242 Dundas St W

This rule-breaking Japanese restaurant is ready for you. We’re not 100% sure what the menu of “new-wave Japanese fare” will include, but we’re ready to try it! Just don’t laugh at our lack of chopstick awareness. We’re doing our best.

Where: 164 Ossington Ave

This Mediterranean snack bar has taken over new real estate on Dupont. There’s no better place to truly test the limits of your hummus consumption.

Where: 252 Dupont St

This super welcoming neighbourhood destination is all prepped and ready to pour you a drink. Everyone loves pictures, so your inner kid can appreciate their emoji-heavy menu.

Where: 22911 Yonge St

This place gets the need for German street food you probably didn’t even know you had. A kapsalon (a bunch of toppings on cheesy fries) a day keeps the doctor away, right?

Where: 1608 Queen St E

So, which one are you trying first, Toronto? Go ahead, munch away!
