You’ve never eaten anywhere like Toronto’s newest restaurant
We know how much you love the new new. Well, we’ve got some brand-new new new for ya! Toronto’s newest restaurant, Pōpa (or Popa for the lazy folk) is a completely unique combination of cuisines and flavours!
Either we don’t dabble in Burmese/Macanese/Balinese cuisine enough, or this restaurant is the first of its kind in Toronto. You guys tell us. In case that didn’t tip you off, they’re serving combinations of dishes from Bali, Burma, and Macau.

It’s a restaurant-y melting pot of cultures. You’ll eat everything from Chinese-style noodles, Indian-style soups, and flatbreads, to curries and stir-frys.
Popa comes to Toronto courtesy of Hemant Bhagwani and Trevor Lui. How often is it that you get to try a completely new combination of foods? We’re feeling a bit inspired to take a little trip to Bali. That’s nothing new, though. Maybe we’ll just have to settle for dinner here before jumping in a plane.
Go be the first to check it out, and let us know what you think!
When: Opens Saturday, December 21
Where: Bayview Village, 2901 Bayview Ave, North York
