Exclusive look inside the shipping containers at stackt
We told you all about stackt market, a brand new retail, food, and drink hub. Made out of- drumroll, please- reclaimed shipping containers! Weird recycling flex but okay.
A vacant stretch of land near Fort York has been claimed as the reclaimed hub. Shipping containers house retail and food spaces, living their best new life after much holding things and such travelling. We like to think of this as the retirement home for shipping containers. Maybe they take their dentures out and play bingo and Scrabble after hours.
“The vision for stackt developed while I was living in the area and noticed the lack of an interactive public space, which encourages community connection and engagement,” Matt Rubinoff, the founder of stackt market, said in a written statement.
“What do the people like? They like shipping containers. That’ll get the people going.”- Matt Rubinoff, hopefully.
