In the latest of do-gooders helping out the community throughout the ongoing COVID-19 situation, meet Matthew Lombardi. He’s a Torontonian who we’ve just decided to crown the ultimate Good Samaritan of the city. Congratulations, Mathew. You deserve it.
So how’d he earn this highly coveted and super impressive title? Well, he’s just launched a grocery delivery service that is specially made for medical workers. It helps out those who are on the front line, working tirelessly to keep the rest of us safe and healthy. No one can really thank these folks enough, but this new service called GroceryHero is pretty darn close.

So how does it work? Basically, it matches medical workers with volunteers in their neighbourhood who will pick up their grocery orders for them! The medical peeps pay no cost for the delivery. And the volunteers get to feel good about making the lives of the vital workforce fighting coronavirus just a little easier.
The idea was born out of a conversation that Mathew had with his doctor friend, who said that it was difficult to find time to get groceries around their grueling work schedule. Well, hopefully, this eases that a little bit!
