This lush Rosedale restaurant is reinventing what Canadian cuisine is
Not sure where to eat tonight? Meet Mineral. It’s the Rosedale Filipino resto that is reinventing Canadian food culture. This innovative spot prides itself on it’s “Third-Culture Contemporary Canadian” identity. What does that mean? Well, it’s a definitively Toronto joint that is evolving the idea of what is Canadian in this country. It aims to contribute to a new culture that isn’t really new at all, but hasn’t been super visible in the past.
Okay, we can certainly get on board with that. And when the food is as delicious as it is, who wouldn’t? Head on over for tons of thoughtful and eclectic food choices and plenty of unusual small plates.
When you walk in, you’ll be hit with lush and vibrant scenery. Seriously, there are so many gorgeous nooks and crannies, you might just spend your entire visit taking Instas from different angles.
They’ve got floor-to-ceiling windows that keep the place nice and bright. Plus, the greenery and blue velvet accents are hella stylish.
If you do want to actually eat during your visit, we promise the food is just as incredible as the aesthetic. Their lunch and dinner menus are packed with Filipino-style dishes that are downright mouth-watering. Be sure to test out a couple of their Cold Bar items during dinnertime. With things like scallop + apple or oyster + grape, it’s hard to go wrong.
They’ve also got an awesome coffee menu made entirely from imported Columbian espresso. They get their beans using direct trade and ethical sourcing, which is another bonus! Plus, their curated wine list is sure to add a little somethin’ somethin’ to your night out.
We can’t get enough of this delicious and stunning Rosedale spot and we know you won’t be able to either.
So what are you waiting for, people? Get out there and try it! We’ll be deep into scallops and wine, forgetting that anything else even exists.
