Switzerland’s largest chocolate maker just opened a Toronto store

We’d go pretty far for chocolate. Switzerland? Sure, if you’re paying. Eaton Centre? Yes, we can do that. Läderach Chocolatier Suisse is opening in Toronto, and it’s big news for anyone who loves chocolate (so everyone, pretty much).

Läderach is Switzerland’s largest chocolate retailer. In a country known for chocolate, that’s no small honour. The pair of Toronto stores will be the first-ever in Canada, and the Eaton Centre location will get the crowning glory of being the flagship store.

If you’re feeling especially in the mood for a one-way ticket to a sugar coma, hit up the grand opening at Eaton Centre on December 4th at noon. There will be a parade celebrating all things Swiss, a welcome from the Läderach family themselves, and a crap ton of chocolate. The last one should go without saying there.

All the chocolate is handcrafted in Switzerland and shipped fresh to Toronto. Is your holiday shopping done? Dot your umlauts and cross your T’s by making a visit to pick up something sweet for your sweet!
