Milky’s Coffee wants to put a splash of happy in your cup. This brand new coffee joint is all about those feel-good vibes, and we’re loving it!

This new go-to is claiming a spot on Dundas Street as it’s new home. We’ve been following the teaser posts on Instagram all month as Milky’s prepares to open.

We’re seeing bright colours, hardwood, modern shapes, and a little bit of happy 50’s charm as their aesthetic.

Milky’s was built off the idea that people have moments in the day where they’re likely to be put in a good mood. A beautiful morning or a break during a long day are great times to get your smize on. Further, they also happen to be great times for coffee.

The entrepreneur and coffee lover behind Milky’s says, “We want to be the most reliable place to compensate for things that might be missing in someone’s day.”

“Bright lights to counteract our long, grey winter days. A pop of bright colour to alleviate our mainly concrete streetscape. Friendly baristas before heading out on a lonely streetcar ride.”

You’ll see their signature “millennial coral” all over their Instagram. Also, they’re focusing on top-notch customer service and really solid coffee (courtesy of Landscape Coffee Roaster).

A specialty drink testing was held last week as part of their soft opening, and they’ve already got some rave reviews on their social media. These special tastings will become Sunday tradition, giving us all the chance to become casual coffee aficionados.

The heads behind Milky’s also have a love for design, which is why you’ll find those HGTV-worthy patterned hardwood walls in there. Milky’s creator Fraser Greenberg actually owns a designer hardwood floor company!

Now that they’ve gotten everyone’s attention, it’s about time to open up completely. Pop in for a coffee and some happy leading up to the grand opening on February 4th!
