GUSTO 101

rooftop patios

This beautiful rooftop terrace is one of the best in Toronto. They specialize in pizza, pasta, and wine. Which you all know are three of our favourite things. Plus, they offer a super cool terrarium vibe. We recommend ordering their Mafalde Al Funghi pasta. It comes with portobello, porcini, and oyster mushrooms. And it’s topped with a truffle cream sauce. Mmmmmmm.

DRAKE SKY YARD

The Drake Hotel is behind some of the best restos in the city. So it’s no surprise they’ve got a rooftop patio on this list. Head to the Sky Yard for a gorgeous view overlooking Queen West. Plus, you can enjoy their exposed-brick-hanging-plant ambience as well. Oh, and the food’s pretty good too!

LAVELLE

And you can dine in style at this swanky rooftop patio. First of all, it’s 16-storeys high. Secondly, they have 360° views of the city skyline. Does it get better than that? We don’t think so. Oh, and did we mention they’ve even got a pool up there? Guess it does get better! Lavelle is known for their cocktails, so make sure you try one while you’re there. We recommend the Hibiscus Rosé Sangria. Cheers!

THE ONE EIGHTY

This Toronto staple offers amazing views of the city skyline. It’s located all the way at the top of the Manulife Centre. And when you’re 51-storeys high, you can pretty much see everything. But be warned- the south-facing side of their wrap-around patio fills up super quickly. So maybe put in a reservation or get there early to nab a spot. Keep your eyes peeled for their official reopening date!

TATTORIA NERVOSA

This adorable Yorkville resto offers a cozier vibe on their rooftop patio. Their rooftop area has limited seating, so make a reservation if you want to nab a spot. But don’t worry, if you can’t catch the rooftop, they’ve also got a ground-level patio area. You can enjoy a ton of delicious Italian dishes here, but our personal favourite is the Capellini. It comes topped with a tomato sauce, sun-dried tomato, goat cheese, basil. Can’t go wrong with goat cheese, right?

On this gorgeous rooftop terrace, you can try some of the city’s best sushi. They have everything from classic maki rolls to pressed sushi platters. It’s the perfect place for sharing plates with friends.
