Controversial Chick-Fil-A releases Toronto location details
Chick-Fil-A Toronto is about to become a thing if the people here don’t burn it down first. The highly controversial but undeniably successful chicken sandwich giant is preparing to open in Toronto as its first foray into the international market. However, people are (for lack of a more eloquent term) pissed.
While the American-based chicken chain has become hugely popular in some regions, it’s under fire in others. The CEO has been accused of donating money to anti-LGBT organizations and partaking in a long crusade against same-sex marriage.
However, despite the growing movement against the eatery, it’s aiming for aggressive Canadian expansion. In fact, Toronto will just be the start, with a slated 10-20 stores across Toronto alone planned in the future, according to their official Twitter account.
Torontonians have taken to Twitter to share their feelings and #BoycottChickFilA:

One Twitter user even promised to have their dog poop on the doorstep of the chain every Sunday (Chick-Fil-A is notoriously closed every Sunday to observe the Christian Sabbath).
While we don’t know if the Chick-Fil-A Toronto expansion will be what the brand wants, we know plenty of Toronto locals are ready to put their money where their mouths are. Namely, hate-free fried chicken spots.
