Try this stunning new restaurant for perfect cocktails and upscale eats
There are few places we’ll get out of our sweats for, but Reign at the Fairmont Royal York is one of them. The other one is work, because our boss threatened to fire us if we kept showing up in PJ’s. They’re athletic wear, dude. It’s different.
Either way, this gorgeous new restaurant is the perfect place to flaunt your nice duds and dig into a delicious meal. Let’s take a look at this hot spot! Spoiler alert: there’ll be cocktails, plush velvet, and divine dinners.
The Fairmont Royal York got a major facelift earlier this year, with redesigned and reimagined dining at the top of the list. We waited anxiously for the new stuff to be announced. It’s like when a real housewife gets one of those whole-face makeovers and you’re watching her all bandaged up in bed waiting to see the final product and which shape of nose she went with. Very exciting stuff!
Finally, the hotel’s new signature dining experience, Reign, was revealed! At this swanky spot, you’ll be sampling everything from west coast Albacore tuna to heritage rotisserie chicken from Quebec.
The inspo is modern Canadian with a French touch. As the executive chef, jW Foster puts it, “we are thrilled to bring our guests a fresh, truly Canadian farm-to-table dining experience with the help of our many producers. Local ingredients and sustainability is our main focus in furthering the hotel’s promise to source locally and we couldn’t do it without our farmers.”
Also, we’re in love with the decor! Walk into fancy wood panelling, rich green and blue tones, and gold accents. Very royal, so we definitely see where the name ties in.
Additionally, located just off the bar is Reign Bakery. It offers fresh-baked pastries and quality espresso for a tasty treat on your daily commute. We love a tasty treat at any and all times of the day. In fact, our first tattoo says “a scone an hour.”
Whether you’re looking for a perfect breakfast, a mid-day retreat, or a special dinner, put Reign on your list. Sorry, sweats. We’ll be back for ya someday.
