This is the spot for Canadiana, trivia, and great pub grub
We’re big on the three B’s: burgers, beer, and Canadiana. Wait… Oh well. The Fifth Pubhouse is in our spotlight today, and we’re giving you a peek into elevated pub food, trivia nights, and decor worthy of our home and native land! Also, we’ve got one of the strangest (and most helpful) bits of feedback from a patron we’ve ever gotten. Stay tuned, kids.
The Fifth Pubhouse is a public house… wait, is that where “pub” comes from? Public house? It all makes sense now. Wow.
Anyways, it’s a public house with some fun improvements. Walk in to be greeted by fun Canadiana vibes, minus the tacky factor. It’s how we’d want our Muskoka cabin decorated, if we had one of those. Also, there’s ample patio space for all your al fresco needs! Something about locking eyes with someone on the street while you’re cheek-deep in a burger is so satisfying. It’s probably the look of jealousy in their eyes.
Besides that, one of our favourite reasons to stop by here is Wednesday trivia. We don’t know much, we don’t win much, but it’s a dang good time. Another one of our favourite reasons is the food- not only can you get into pub classics like poutine, but you can go off the beaten pub path a bit if you fancy. We’re talking Beyond Meat burgers, caprese salads, and French onion soups.
Okay, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Don’t take our word for it, take Dan’s. Dan likes this place a lot. In fact, in his opinion, “this place will change your life. Best staff, best wings and burgers, and the best trivia on Wednesday nights. Honestly, I’ve divorced 7 out of my 8 wives here. Great place for casual drinks, food and sports while signing papers with a lawyer and someone you thought you knew.”
Take it from Dan the Man. Sorry about your wives, Dan.
Whether you’re dulling the pain of divorce with fries or flexing your trivia muscles, stop by The Fifth to do it. Whether it’s lunch, after-work drinks, dinner, or late night, they’re happy to host!
