Rental of the Week: A coveted $14,500 private estate in the Shangri-La
Today, we feel like torturing ourselves with nice things we don’t have. A sports car, this Toronto rental, a Rolex, compassionate human connection… Just take a minute to daydream with us about some of the finer things in life. This rental in the private residences of the Shangri-La is next-level, so it’s a perfect place to start.
TORONTO RENTAL OF THE WEEK
There are exclusive apartments, and then there’s this particular layout in this particular building. Living at the Shangri-La is one thing, and living in this particular two bed, two bath masterpiece is another. This is one of the most sought-after layouts in the whole place!
With over 2,270 square feet of living space and 250 square feet of balcony space, you’ve got plenty of room to shower yourself in hundos. At least, that’s what we would do in our spare time if we lived here. The apartment is done in a split layout, with one bedroom at either end. Then again, the master is practically its own apartment, with the size of that bedroom, dressing room, and bathroom. You could sleep a mid-size family in there.
Every little detail has been looked after here. Herringbone hardwood, a Boffi kitchen, Miele and Subzero appliances, a 78-bottle wine fridge, automatic sunshades, electric fireplace, automatic blackout blinds in the bedroom, a tea-for-two soaker tub! We’re running out of air trying to tell you what’s in here. We didn’t even make it to the fully-automated seven-head Kohler DTV shower (we don’t quite know what that is) or the marble countertops.
West exposure gives you sunset views all the way to the Niagara Escarpment. A fully-enclosed two-car garage ensures you’re not trekking through a parking garage like some peasant.
Shangri-La living is luxurious, but it doesn’t come cheap! If you want this as your own, you’ll be springing $14,500 a month. A MONTH. We’ll stick to the daydreaming.
