Home of the Week: A French Provincial with your own indoor golf simulator
Proximity to a golf course is always a plus. What if you didn’t even have to leave your home to golf? Now that’s next-level fancy! This Toronto Home of the Week has more amenities than we’ve probably ever seen in a home. Can you even call a golf simulator an amenity? That might be on another level.
CURIOCITY TORONTO HOME OF THE WEEK
We’re in Aurora here, but this home is well worth the 45-minute commute. Or, you could just quit your job, get real cozy, and see how long before the tax police come for you.
The home is nestled right along the Oak Ridge Moraine, in a highly sought-after area. You’re close to the future GO Aurora-Union expansion, a golf course, plenty of parks, and the Holland River Valley Trail. You could be one of those outdoorsy families that cross-country ski together. How cute would that be?
The listing has decided to keep the number of bedrooms and bathrooms a secret. However, they’ve let us know that there’s parking for 11 cars, so we imagine you’ll have plenty of room for the human members of the family.
This place is an oasis, with an in-ground pool (and waterslide!!!), privacy gates, natural stone waterfalls, and multiple outdoor terraces. Inside, it’s a French Provincial custom dream. Just look at that kitchen, with wood beams and brick set off by poppy-red chairs. This flows directly into a stunning living room, where the quaint castle vibe is put on hold in favour of a very large TV.
In fact, this whole place has castle vibes. Stone fireplaces, brick accent walls, and vintage wood flooring give it a rich family on vacation in the Alps kinda feel. Don’t worry, the indoor golf simulator and soundproof music room will bring you back to earth if you start to forget what century you’re in. Speaking of which, the desert motif on the wall there makes us think these people decided to take up permanent residence at their snowbird home in Scottsdale. We don’t blame them.
Upstairs, all the bedrooms are sizeable and have their own ensuites. The master has a private walkout terrace as if the other terraces weren’t quite enough. Speaking of which, they’ve got heated steps to and from the pool, and a separate entrance with a pet grooming station. Some very, very lucky Golden Retriever probably had the run of this yard before it went on the market.
We’ve gotta hand it to whoever custom-built this home. It’s positively dreamy and absolutely perfect for a family. Actually, we might just buy the whole thing and spend our days solo sunbathing in that perfect backyard. You can come if you bring snacks.
You can also bring $10M, cause we can’t really afford the place. Check out the listing right here!
